Bulk 101
Bulk food sections can be a little intimidating if you are unfamiliar with their set-up. The following guidelines will help you successfully shop our bulk department:
If you would like to taste an item please ask for assistance from a staff member.
Never eat directly from a bulk bin.
All bulk bins are labeled with a three or four-digit number.
Please label all of your bulk items for quick check out.
When using gravity bins:
- Place your bag under the spout, making sure to have a firm grip on the bag.
- Pull the lever down, towards you to fill your bag.
- Push the lever back up when you have the desired amount.
- Label the bag, using the twist ties provided, with the three or four-digit item number on the bulk container.
When using scoop bins:
- Remove the scoop from the holder.
- Slide the lid up to allow access to the product.
- Using the scoop provided fill your bag.
- Replace the scoop and slide the lid shut.
- Label the bag, using the twist ties provided, with the three or four-digit item number on the bulk container.
